Now that you’ve approved designs and we have a plan, we get to work. Using only the highest quality materials, Dilworth’s Custom Design first constructs all of your unique cabinetry right in our impressive Phoenixville shop, crafting each piece to your project’s exact specifications.
The richness of our fine furniture finish is achieved by sanding and staining each piece by hand. The oven-curing process is the final touch of our multi-step finishing procedure , enhancing the grain of the selected woods and providing years of protection to your investment.
Ben, our shop foreman, takes great care in selecting the materials used in each and every cabinet built by his team of experienced cabinet makers. Woods of the highest quality, such as maple, red oak, white oak, cherry, pine, walnut and mahogany are hand selected specifically for your project.
At Dilworth’s, our tight fitting joints are secured with cabinet grade glue and clamped until dry. Drawer construction consists of hardwood maple boxes with dovetail joints. Once the construction phase is completed to perfection, we hand sand and apply the finest finishes to your new cabinets.
After the cabinets are carefully inspected, we take steps to ensure that they will arrive at your home in pristine condition. All finished pieces are fitted with corner protectors and wrapped in cardboard before being shrink wrapped for safe transport. They are then placed in our staging area to await commencement of your remodel.
Our staging area ensures that all of the components of your project are on hand before our workers first day in your home. Your finished cabinetry, tile, plumbing and lighting fixtures, countertop materials and all other components of your project are assembled and ready to go the moment they’re needed.
Our approach to installation is different than most other remodelers. Our two-man team of experienced Dilworth’s installers builds your entire project from start to finish. It’s great peace of mind to trust that the job will be done right and you’ll know who’s doing it.
From demolition to plumbing and electrical, your experienced team is dedicated to expertly finishing your project to your complete satisfaction.
You’ll remain in good hands through the duration of your project. Dan or Dave Dilworth will arrive with the installation crew to get your project underway and the same crew will be with you from start to finish. They will keep you informed along the way and keep the disruption of your home to a minimum.
